Dame Sarah Connolly is an Honorary Member of the Royal Philharmonic Society and was awarded The King’s Medal for Music in 2023, as an outstanding musician who has had a major influence on the musical life of the nation. She has sung at the Aldeburgh, Edinburgh, Lucerne, Salzburg and Tanglewood Festivals and the BBC Proms where, in 2009, she was a soloist at the Last Night.
Opera engagements include the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Paris Opera, La Scala, Vienna and Munich state operas, and the Bayreuth, Glyndebourne and Aix-en-Provence festivals. Highlights in 2024/25 include Auntie Peter Grimes WNO; Dido & Aeneas Amsterdam Concertgebouw; The Dream of Gerontius with BBCSO; The Music Makers with CBSO; A Child of our Time Royal Northern Sinfonia; Les nuits d’été Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice; Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with the Boston Philharmonic and Hallé orchestras, and his Lieder eines fahrenden gesellen and Rückert-Lieder.
Malcolm Martineau OBE has performed with singers including Sir Thomas Allen, Dame Janet Baker, Florian Boesch, Elīna Garanča, Dame Sarah Connolly, Angela Gheorghiu, Susan Graham, Thomas Hampson, Sir Simon Keenlyside, Angelika Kirchschlager, Dame Felicity Lott, Anne Sofie von Otter, Günther Groissböck and Sonya Yoncheva. Highlights this season include recitals with Sonya Yoncheva, Elīna Garanča, Sir Simon Keenlyside, Florian Boesch, Erin Morley, Fatma Said and Patricia Nolz. Malcolm has appeared at Alice Tully Hall, Barbican Centre, Berlin State Opera, Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw, Gran Theatre del Liceu, Mariinsky Theatre, Metropolitan Opera, Munich Opera, Paris Opera and Salle Gaveau, Royal Opera House, La Scala, Sydney Opera House, Teatro Real, Salzburg Mozarteum, Suntory Hall Tokyo, Vienna’s Konzerthaus, Musikverein and State Opera, Walt Disney Hall, Wigmore Hall, and Zurich Opera. He is a Professor of piano accompaniment at the RAM and an Honorary Doctor and International Fellow of Accompaniment at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Tickets for the evening and Sunday afternoon concerts cost £16 each (£17 in 2025-26) as part of a full season membership subscription. Part season offers are available for new members, and we would be delighted if you would consider joining the Club. Further details can be found here.

Concerts at Malvern Theatres
Full price tickets are available from the Malvern Theatres website at £25 plus plus their levies as applicable for the 2024-25 season and £26 plus levies for the 2025-26 season. They can be booked in advance either online or from the Box Office by telephone or in person. Wheelchair spaces are available, so please mention this when booking.
Other concerts
Concerts outside the normal season, such as the Coffee and Cake concert, are available separately available via the membership secretary.
