Tickets for Paul Lewis Concert 24 September 2020

We are delighted to announce that Malvern Concert Club (unless new restrictions are imposed) will present its first recital of the season on Thursday 24 September in The Forum at Malvern Theatres by Paul Lewis, the renowned British pianist. As you will appreciate, Government requirements mean that audience capacity will be very much reduced, so ticket allocation has been open until now only to existing Club members. However, a small number of tickets are now available for public sale from Malvern Theatres.

Please note:

  • That WC facilities will be severely restricted;
  • No bar or refreshments are available;
  • There will be no MCC members’ table;
  • We will be selling programmes;
  • There is no interval;
  • Face masks will have to be worn.

For these reasons the recital has to be shorter. Hence there has been a partial change from the programme previously set out in our brochure and website. To maximise capacity, there will be two separate concerts on the same day, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. We are very grateful to Paul Lewis for agreeing to this. Paul will play:

3 p.m:

  • Haydn Sonata in C Minor Hob XVI:20
  • Schubert Sonata in G major D894

7 p.m.*:

  • Mozart Sonata in A major K331 (Rondo alla Turca)
  • Schubert Sonata in G major D894
  • Note start time is earlier than normal for an evening concert.

Each concert is expected to last around 1hr 10mins; there will be no interval. The cost will be £12 per person. There are a few tickets available from Malvern Theatres
