Beethoven: Overture, Leonora No.3
Mozart: Concerto for Two Pianos in E Flat Major K365 (Soloists: Luca and Arthur Jussen)
Brahms: Serenade No. 1
Conductor: Olari Elts
For this concert we have 40 seats in the centre of Rows L to P in the Stalls and ten seats in Rows A and B of the Circle. The basic rule is first come first served, but we will allocate Symphony Hall seats as far as we can to meet your wishes: when you book you can indicate your seating preferences (Stalls or Circle, forward or back, left or right), or if certain participants would like to sit together or prefer end seats. Concert tickets will be issued on the bus, with programme discount vouchers (£1 off). Programmes can be bought at the Ground Floor Programme Desk or at the bars in Symphony Hall.
Our seats are the same as on 27 November 2018: Stalls: L11 – L22; M9 – M20; N11 – N22; P21 – P24. Circle: A31 – A37; B33 – B35. A seating plan is available by e-mail only on request.
There is a ‘Cut-Off Date’ by which I have to pay for the tickets we take up and when I can release without charge those we don’t need. Therefore bookings and payment must be made by the Cut-Off Date which for this concert is Sunday, 20 January 2019. We will finalise our requirements with Symphony Hall the following day. Before the Cut-Off Date, cancellation of a booking with a refund will be possible, but after that it will not be possible to make a refund unless we can resell the ticket to another participant on our list or via the Symphony Hall Box Office. We will deal with cancellations in the order in which we receive them, so if there is a buyer for the first ticket cancelled we will credit the first purchaser, and so on. But we would emphasise that we cannot guarantee a refund after the Cut-Off Date, and bookings are only taken if that condition is accepted. Please pay special attention to the Terms and Conditions. Note that if the trip has to be cancelled or is late arriving due to bad weather or road conditions, it will not be possible to make a refund, but that would be the case, of course, if you were making your own arrangements by car or train and it was not possible to get there.
Commandery Coaches will provide the transport from Priory Road Car Park, Malvern, to Symphony Hall, with pick-up/set-down at Newland and Powick, according to demand. Note that there are only 50 seats (one busload) for each concert and bookings are taken on a first come – first served basis.
The coach leaves Malvern at 1130am: this allows time for pre-concert refreshments and attendance at the free pre-concert event.
