Annual General Meeting 2009-10
The 2009-10 AGM was held on Thursday 1 July 2010 at 7.30pm in the Carice Room at the Elgar Birthplace Museum, Lower Broadheath, Worcester. Over 40 members were present to hear reports about the successful 2009-10 season and prospects for 2010-11. The principal officers were all re-elected, with the Assistant Secretary post renamed as Publicity & Marketing Officer and the Membership Secretary being designated as an officer.
The formal business was followed by a short recital with works by Beethoven, Schumann and Kreisler excellently played by Caroline Pether, violin, with James Vaughan, piano. Caroline was the winner of the Chandos Young Musician competition in 2008. She played the Walton Violin Concerto with the Chandos Orchestra on 12 September 2010 at Malvern Theatres.
